life’s little accessories.

April 26, 2010

I think the reason why all of us humans get so impatient sometimes is because everything we want and need is right at our fingertips, and very easy and quick to get. Before we had to wait for letters, now we take advantage of our cell phones. When we want something quick that we CANT get quick, we get impatient. Because we’ve been “spoiled” with all of these accesories added on to our life. I happen to be a fan of these accesories, though. I criticize these things, yet I love them so much. Its humanly impossible for me to say: alright I’m done with you phone. and never use it again. The damage is done to everybody. We’re all wrapped up in this madness of technology, and there’s no way of getting out. lol.

I saw Grease last Friday. 3 words: It was amazing. I loved it! I have to say my favorite character was Eugene! Haha Aaron did a very good job at playing that role! I was NOT expecting Doody to moon the crowd, lol. Everyone’s roles fit them perfectly! Caitlin played the innocent Frenchie very well, Im not sure what the name of the girl who played Rizzo was, but she was a perfect Rizzo! I would say go get yourself a ticket to see it, but the last show was today.

Not much more to talk about. Thanks for reading,

Improvement

April 22, 2010

I love seeing improvement in everything. Like dance, about two year ago I went to an ABT summer intensive, I didn’t see much improvement in myself. This last summer I went to Kirov and I see a huge improvement. I love everything about the training at Kirov.
Another example is choir ( sorry I talk about choir alot). Last year in 8th grade I was in choir, it was a TOTAL blow off class, lol it’s sounds terrible but it’s true. We didn’t want anything to do with choir yet we signed up for it. At the end of the year Mr. Marcum (from Brook) visited CLIS and sort of auditioned people to see where to place them next year. I guess I hit a couple of high notes because the next year he placed me in jv choir, which is odd because I sucked at choir at my intermediate. Anyways, at the beginning of the year things were new to me; 4-part harmonizing, sightreading and basic stuff I shouldve already known. I can see the improvement throughout the year. My goal for the end of this year is to audition for varsity choir and make it, crossing my fingers! My point is I love seeing the improvement in everything I do.

Confusing stuff

April 13, 2010

I want to talk about respect. To gain respect from others, you have to give repect. Okay so put it this way: Friend group A doesn’t respect group B because B doesn’t respect A. For the most part I would love to say I’m apart of neither group but I’m a little bit of A because I hang out with those people. It annoys me when group A is completely rude to B for no apparent reason. They annoy everyone else around them because they have absolutely NO repsect for anyone. That’s not who I want to be or be around. And of course they don’t care because they aren’t going to be around group B for the next years. I will. So I’m trying to make a good impression on them and it doesn’t help when they act like there 5 years old everyday. Another thing: they have no respect for the good friends either. They don’t care that I’m trying to be on people’s good side. So if most of you have figured out what the heck I’m talking about, I have absoultely nothing to do with group A’s annoyance. I’m not like them, and I’m my own person. Please don’t think I’m anything like them. (being group A,lol) thanks for reading,

Regional Dance America

April 12, 2010

I absolutely LOVE RDA because it’s new dance
teachers who have different techniques. It was also fun to meet new people around texas and louisiana. I did not enjoy the modern classes at all. I’m so used to Cara teaching, so I’m not used to the new techniques. I also did not like the one jazz class we had, it was something totally new and I like the style jazz we do at
RAFA. Overall my favorite class was ballet. It was sort of a sad/happy/tired feeling on the way home. I enjoyed the experience and cannot wait until next year. :) thanks for reading, LMH

A reply to a fellow blogger,

This post was inspired by Kingaaron’s post Calm Down.I loved his point. I hate how everyone labels what “cool” is. I think choir is the coolest thing that CBHS has. ALOT of people dont. (but everyone in choir knows its the coolest thing out there :D ) I talk to a widespread amount of people from different cliques. I dont stick with one set of people. My dance friends and I all have lunch right after dance, so we all unpack our lunches and make a happy little picknic (in the dance room). Which is my point. Who cares where you eat at lunch, who you talk with, etc. Because in ten years or whenever you’ll look back and laugh at the people that make it a HUGE deal where to sit at lunch. It’s quite funny when you think about it. oh, btw (the “cool” kids are the valivictorians)

So this week is packed with funness. UIL for choir is tomorrow in the middle of the day, so I will miss half of Wedsnday. After this, I have RDA on Thursday and Friday. I’m missing alot of school. I asked my teachers for anything I can do over these days so I’m also packed with fun homework.

And by the way, I forgot to update you guys on my fun Rodeo excitement my friend Sarah and I made shirts for the Keith Urban concert to cheer us up, because we didn’t win meet and greets. :( (the back of the shirt was better)
